Instead, place them in large zip-lock bags and add enough diluted ammonia to immerse them. Be sure to wear gloves to protect your hands when you are handling the ammonia. Set the bags outside overnight to keep the smell outdoors, and then rinse them in the morning.

7.       Although you regularly change your sheets, have you ever thought about cleaning your mattress? Mix baking soda with lavender oil and spread it all over your mattress. Wait an hour and then vacuum the baking soda up. Your mattress will be like new, and it will smell heavenly when you lay down for bed!

8.       Don’t try to dust your lampshades with feather dusters or damp cloths. Instead, just rub a lint roller across it. It will easily pick up all of the dust without spreading it around or damaging your lamp shade.
